Bullying

Some people start bullying others for different reasons, but I think the main reason is that they think they're invincible when they get together in a gang. They find weaker students that are alone to start picking on to make their lives miserable. Now, not all bullies get the victims to a point of suicide, which was the case with Jamie Hubley from Ottawa, who committed suicide because he was bullied for being openly gay. He never meant to harm anyone by saying he was gay, nor did he choose to be gay. Noone is safe from bullies, and if you do get bullied, you should tell someone right away and if they keep going after someone has talked to them, you should put pressure on adults to stop it. There is noone that accepts bullying and people should know that.

Most bullies will grow up to be mature and witness that what they have done was bad and some might take steps to stop bullying in schools. Others, who just don't care, will never end and always live badly and think they're the the best. The bullies themselves aren't the only ones to blame. There is the adults and teachers around them that don't play their roles. They are supposed to look after the students and prevent these kinds of situations.

I don't think there is alot we can do about bullying other than insist on the fact that bullying is not tolerated and have the school teachers and supervisers check to make sure noone is getting bullied. You can't make it stop if the victim himself doesn't tell anyone or you haven't witnessed any bullying.
